A huge congratulations to our fantastic U10's Pumas for reaching their first semi final in competitive football. Even though the result wasn't in our favour they really did put a spirited show for a great crowd at Cardea Park. The game was full of some great football from both sides and Pumas had so brilliant attempts on goal where on another day, may have gone their way. Boston got a couple of decent goals and a couple of lucky goals however both teams showed tremendous skill and ability on the pitch.
Kai scored an absolute cracker of a free kick for us, demonstrating how our team has developed over the season.
And despite the end score (and injuries!), the team came off pitch with huge smiles and thats always what me and Dave ask for in games. We've had an absolute blinding season where the kids have really gelled together and come on leaps and bounds. While the results varied along the way, what was consistent was the skill, determination, camaraderie amongst a group of children that have become great friends.
Dave and I are really looking forward to lots of fun over the tournaments and even more excited about moving to 9v9 football U11's. We'll be seeing a few more kids join our team in preparation and we can really see this team grow even stronger.
Well done to every single one of the kids: Callum, Kai, Evie, Brad, Xander, Ollie, Sean, Chris, Ash, Rahim and Stas. You guys are the Pumas. You're a fantastic bunch of nutters and even though we all drive each other mad, we certainly know how to have fun and enjoy ourselves.
Finally, and massive round of a applause to our parents, supporters and friends how have stood in sun, rain and snow to cheer these guys on! The support the team get is unrivalled and second to none! Thank so much from me, Dave and the whole club!
Under 11's season - here we come!!
