Team: Callum, Evie, Ollie, Xander (Birthday Boy), Sean, Chris, Ash, Kai and Rahim.
This morning the team put on a game of football like no other. They simply played brilliantly and came off the pitch with smiles from ear to ear. They demonstrated everything we asked from them - finding space, keeping possession and simple passing. They played a faultless game from start to finish against a very resilient Pinchbeck team who despite the scoreline played their socks off right to the final whistle.
All we can do is praise every single one of them. They listened, observed and created chance after chance. They applauded each other, encouraged themselves to drive forward, played very creative football and constantly looking for the next opportunity to get that ball up the field. Pumas played an absolute blinder and were rewarded for it in still.
We have to commend Pinchbeck on their effort. We have seen in the past where teams drop their heads when they're under pressure. We are even one of those teams! However, Pinchbeck held their heads high and never gave up. It was remarkable to see and they are a team we could all learn some fighting spirit from.
Goals came from: Rahim(4), Ash(3), Sean(2), Ollie(1) and Kai(1).....
Medal competition game next weekend Pumas.... Lets continue this football and I'm sure we'll do just fine!!
Big thanks to Tania for the photos, cracking as usual!!!
