On a cold and blustery morning the team headed to Pinchbeck to try for the first time this season to get 3 wins in a row.
First quarter kicked off and we found ourselves storm into a 2 goal lead with some excellent phases of play, wind what wind. As the game went on we got complacent and due to other teams style of play we were bunching together and no room to make the amazing passes we know we can, we were the makers of our own downfall letting them back into the game going in at half time all square at 2-2.
Quick half time team talk got the boys fired up and new instructions given namely to play our style of football making the space for each other that we have shown previously.
The energy and vision the boys went onto the pitch for the 3rd quarter saw 4 quick fire goals, one being a rocket of a free kick even us coaches and parents wouldn’t wanted to get in the way of.
Power play rule come into force and stayed into the 4th quarter with the boys standing up toe to toe with the extra player the opposition had on the pitch, dug deep and kept working for each other all the way to the final whistle.
A well deserved victory and full on smiles by all at the end of the game, wind was not going to get the better of the boys today.
