Following conversations this afternoon, the club safeguarding and welfare team have made the decision to postpone all training sessions on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th August due to the forecast high temperatures.

Temperatures are expected to be over 30°C at our scheduled training times, with only light winds. Whilst the air temperature is already high, the temperature on the training facility can be significantly higher, with the surface and surrounding area potentially adding a further 10°C, pushing it to nearer 40 °C.

The welfare and safeguarding team have therefore decided that it is simply not worth the risk of putting our players or coaches in a potentially vulnerable position.

We appreciate this may be disappointing, particularly with the new season approaching, but the health, safety and welfare of everyone at the club must always come first.

Please stay safe, keep hydrated and avoid unnecessary exertion in the heat.
