Unfortunately our facilities provider, the Cardea Community Sports Association have made the difficult call that the condition of the pitch and surrounding areas mean that it is not safe for games to go ahead today.

I took part in a pitch inspection today at 9am and agreed that the pitches would only get worse as the rain and wind had started to kick in and was due to continue for the rest of the day. To put the games on would have been dangerous to the health, safety & welfare of players, coaches & spectators and would not be enjoyable in any way for the youth players in particular.

Please be assured that these decisions are not taken lightly as we want to get games played as much as possible but the safety of all involved is the primary concern.

Another pitch inspection will be conducted tomorrow (Sunday) morning to assess if the Sunday games can go ahead as planned. Please keep in regular contact with your individual coaches.
