We are seeking Expressions of interest - so please get in touch NOW!!!

As many of you will know Park Farm Pumas have some very ambitious 10 year expansion plans. These plans took a real knock during the Covid years but we are now back on track and wanting to push forward with our growth agenda.

As part of that programme of expansion we are very keen to build on the back of the England women's national teams success and the growth of girls and women's football across the country. We know we have young girls and women at the club who would be keen to get involved in football, so with that in mind we want to start up our very own women's & girls section at the club.

Our objective is to have teams right from our youth sections through to adult women's teams, but we can't do this without your help!

Since the clubs creation Pumas have encouraged both boys & girls to play in our mixed teams from U6 through to U16 as per the FA guidelines. This has proved hugely successful over the years with several young girls developing fantastically well as footballers within the mixed teams.

The FA has done numerous studies and taken on board the opinions of our young female footballers and while it is clear that they are very happy and extremely capable of playing football in the mixed team environment there is also a desire for players to play in all girl teams.

At Pumas we have recognized this and would like to support as much as we can. Now, the leagues are also realizing this.

The Peterborough Junior Alliance (PJAL) are creating a girls only league to begin in September 2024 across multiple age groups. We want to be one of the founding teams in that league. To do that we need YOU !!

We can provide pitches, kit, equipment, training and support from an experienced coaching team alongside the entire, well established, club, who are all behind this initiative. Everything a new team could possibly need to hit the ground running!!

What we don't have at the moment are the confirmed players or the coaches. But we know that they are out there and we know that there is demand, so I want to get the word out now that this is something we are very happy to support and drive forward if there is a need and a desire to do so.

Our club was founded with one or two people with the drive to create something great for our kids. We want to do this again and need your support. As you can see, with the success we have had, even one or two people with the drive to succeed can achieve so much.

Are you that person ? or do you know anyone that would be interested ?

Pumas will cover the costs of all coaches training and advertising. Please contact me if you can help drive this new, exciting future for Park Farm Pumas. We want to move at pace and hopefully have teams created and ready to play games ASAP.

So we need to hear from you NOW! We are seeking to collect expressions of interest from players & prospective coaches across all ages - so please get in touch ASAP !!

I hope to hear back from you soon. (see contacts page on pumas website)

Please feel free to share this news item on your social media accounts to spread the word.
