Each year Park Farm Pumas usually throw a big Christmas party. This usually involves renting out a big venue for a few hundred people, having a buffet lunch, Disco, Quiz, Raffle and a visit from Santa with a gift for every child. These events have been a regular and really enjoyable date in the diaries of Pumas members year in and year out.

Unfortunately the pandemic has meant that we have been unable to provide this last year which was pretty devastating for all our organisers, who love putting these events on to provide an important social element for our members

This year we see ourselves moving slowly out of the global pandemic and lockdown scenarios but as winter gets hold much of Europe and also the UK are asking everyone to continue to be extremely vigilant. As such the club engaged with a selection of parents and our management team and it was clear that although everyone wanted to mark the occasion of Christmas, as a club we all had a level of nervous trepidation about hosting our usual big event.

So this year we will be doing something a little different to compromise for the current situation. On 4th December we will be in the well ventilated main room at the Cardea pavilion & patio area, which will be transformed into what we hope will be a winter wonderland where Santa & his elves will be meeting with our young Puma cubs and giving them a small gift from the club.

We will also be having x3 mini Carol services at 1pm, 2pm & 3pm - organised by our friends at the Cardea Community Church. Along with a mince pie bake-off and drinks and maybe even some roasted chestnuts on the BBQ.

Members can drop in between 12-4pm to visit Santa, listen to the Christmas songs partake of the Christmas food and drink and meet with other members of the club and management team that they may not have met or seen for a while.

While we would love to host our normal big Christmas event we felt that under the circumstances this is the most responsible and safe thing to do. If you would like to get involved we would very much love your help in creating the Winter Wonderland with Christmas lights and decorations.
