It may have been a grey, gloomy morning, but our U7s brought plenty of brightness to the pitch with a performance full of energy, effort and goals.

From the first whistle the players battled hard, chasing every ball and working for each other right to the end. Their reward was plenty of goals, but what really stood out was how they played together. There was lovely passing, lots of encouragement between teammates, and not a single head dropped all morning.

There were no tricks on show, just plenty of treats for the parents and coaches watching on. Seeing the players support one another and refuse to give up is exactly what grassroots football at this age is all about.

A huge well done to all the players for their effort and attitude, and thank you to the parents and carers for braving the weather to cheer them on.
