HE'S ONE OF OUR OWN !!

HE'S ONE OF OUR OWN !!

Playing Together. Supporting Together. Beating Cancer.

There are moments in football that remind us the game is about far more than results, trophies or league tables. Moments when a club, a community and the people within it come together for something much bigger than the sport itself.

On Saturday 13th June 2026, our football family will unite for one of those moments as Park Farm Pumas take on Netherton United in “Vinny’s Charity Football Match” at The Grange, Netherton, raising money for local cancer charities whilst showing support for one of our own — Veterans Reserves Team Player / Coach, Vinny Price.

Recently diagnosed with cancer, Vinny now faces the toughest challenge of his life, but one we know he will WIN !!

Yet, despite this challenge and in true Vinny fashion, he continues to show courage, positivity and determination that inspires everyone around him. Anyone who has spent time with Vinny knows the impact he has on people — a coach, mentor, teammate and friend who gives everything for others and asks for nothing in return. Indeed anyone who has played in the same team will have the phrase "drop it" imprinted on their minds as he's a man that always wants the ball and always wants to make a difference.

Now it is our turn to stand beside him, our turn to make a difference.

The charity match will not only raise vital funds for cancer charities, including the Peterborough Cancer Treatment Appeal, but will also celebrate the incredible spirit of grassroots football and the strength of community during difficult times.

Players, coaches, families, volunteers and supporters from across the local football community are being encouraged to attend, donate and help create an unforgettable day of togetherness, support and hope.

The event takes place at The Grange, Netherton, with gates opening at 1pm and kick-off at 2pm. Entry is just £2.50, with all proceeds helping support Vinny and local cancer charities that continue to provide vital care and support to families facing unimaginable challenges.

This is more than just a football match.

It is a chance to show Vinny and his family that they are not facing this battle alone. It is an opportunity for our grassroots football community to demonstrate the power of unity, friendship and compassion. And it is a reminder that even in the hardest moments, football has an incredible way of bringing people together.

Everyone at Park Farm Pumas FC would like to thank Netherton United, all organisers, volunteers, players and supporters who are helping make this special occasion possible.

We now ask our community, our Pumas family, to come together once again — fill the touchlines, raise your voices and help make this a day Vinny and his family will never forget.

Because some games mean far more than football.
